First, I want to give KStew a gargantuan-ginormous-humongous-asstastic
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
20 means she is no longer a teen! Welcome to adulthood. (: Even though I'm pretty sure she has been an unofficial adult since she was 11. I hope Kristen had an awesome time doing whatever the hell she did for her big 2 0.Now onto The Runaways

A surprisingly good movie. Maybe not the best movie you'll ever see, but it is a damn good biopic. I felt like such a proud mama tonight and my friend had no idea what I was freaking out about the whole time. She understands my love for KStew, but I guess I out-weirded her tonight. She just doesn't understand... IT.
Her acting was superb. Don't normally use weird words like superb, but her performance calls for an extra special word. And BabyFanning surprisingly kept up with her, though if Kristen wasn't there and Dakota had to carry the whole movie, I don't think she would have done as well. They really fed off each other, as cliche as that may sound. Kristen made an excellent Joan and DFann made a pretty kick ass Cherie.
The entire movie was literally just sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. And I loved it. They made it obvious that cocaine, unidentified pills, and alcohol were obviously used in The Runaways' path to fame. Floria Sigismondi and the producers did well in portraying the ages of the girls right in the beginning. Cherie goes from first getting her period to becoming skanky looking sex kitten in the middle, then becoming a strung out drug addict, then back to a normal ish teenage girl.
The actors in the band I felt, looked and played the real life members well. (Did anyone know that chick from Whip It was the bass player? I would say she got the shit end of the stick..) Joan, in the movie, didn't really care for her band mates besides Cherie. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure she loved them, though she seemed to have a special bond with Cherie. Not in just the sexual way, but they genuinely seemed to care for each other. And that's proved at the end when Crimson and Clover is playing on the radio and Cherie looks happy for Joan and her success.
Okay, the kiss. Was that really necessary to have everyone throwing a bitch fit over? "Kristen kisses a girl?! What?! Its not Rpattz?! Its not Twilight related?! OMG I might die." First of all, it lasted all of two seconds. The erm, foreplay, was nice leading up to it though, don't you think? Kristen, you can blow smoke into my mouth any day... Going on.
After seeing JettStew having a throw down in the recording booth, I want to throw a fit like that, every single day. I want to shout fuck at the top of my lungs and bang on glass and throw chairs and mics around and look awesome doing it. She made bitch fits cool just then.
Her vocals were great. I Love Playing With Fire -- so amazing. And all her like, acapella-messing-around singing sounded legit as well. I really felt like she was Joan then. It felt like a very normal thing to do when you're writing songs about sex and hard core things. Kristen did so well in truly becoming Jett. Her "cool slouch" was on point, her I'm-going-to-beat-the-shit-out-of-you attitude was spot on, and even her guitar playing stance was perfection. KStew did her studying, and you could tell.
If you haven't seen it yet, go watch The Runaways. While you're at, go watch all her movies. Go find a closing Blockbuster and buy a shit ton of DVDs for $4.99. Hence, what I just did. I think I got four Kristen Stewart movies? And all for less than 5 dollars each! Woot.
Also go check out 'Kstew is better than you'. A truly great blog.
