A tip for all you bloggers : save your blog periodically as you write it. I just learned that the hard way. This entry was indeed, almost finished, until my old ass computer decided to completely die and crash therefore losing all my words. Damn. Well, here it goes again.
I haven't blogged in a while, and a lot of sparkly, great shit has gone down. Let's start with Topic Number One : The Oscars.
Hot Damn. Really KStew? Did you really just trump all your other dresses in one night with one seemingly innocent outfit? Yes. Indeed you did. This midnight blue, strapless, holy piece of fabric is AMAZING. The color looks fantastic on her pale skin, and the up-do was beyond anything else. She and Taylor presented the horror 'montage' quite nicely as well. Yes, Kristen cleared her throat on stage. We can all stop going crazy now. It was not a big deal. Like she said on Leno last night, she wouldn't have been able to finish the sentence without the throat clear, which would have been worse. So yeah, she cleared her throat at the Oscars. Who cares. This bring me to my next topic.
Topic Number Two : Jay Leno last night. This quite possibly might be KStew's best talk show appearance ever. She was witty, hilarious, calm, pretty poised, and the audience responded really well to her. She and Jay also seem to have a really easy time talking together, which ultimately results in a kickass interview. The things she said were genuinely funny. Oh and the dress was ridiculously fabulous. Only Kristen can make a long sleeved dress look sexy.
Topic Number Three : The Runaways Clip. Also has to do with the Leno appearance last night. I
LOVED the I Love Playing With Fire clip. We've already heard Kristen sing in Into The Wild so I knew she had the chops. However, I was sort of nervous about how she was going to portray Joan Jett. Joan has a uniquely raspy voice, and I didn't know if Kristen could pull it off. But guess what, she sure as hell did it. Kristen sounds fantastic singing like Joan, and its just as good as the original. She said she was "pulling her hair out" about the clip, but I'm not sure why. It was GREAT.
Topic Number Four : Hanky Panky. After the interview with Leno, KStew returned to play 'hanky panky' with that Fieri guy and Jay. I was not aware of this fact until earlier today when I got tweeted the link to the video. This quite possibly could have been my favorite Kristen moment,
ever. If you guys haven't seen it, Youtube it. I would post the video, but I haven't figured out how to yet. It is definitely worth taking the time to watch.
Topic Number Five : Walmart is the Shit. A few entries ago, I posted about how I will be buying the Walmart copy of the New Moon DVD. If you need any more persuasion to buy it from there, here you go. Walmart is featuring "New Moon Hotspots" in 3500 locations. These said hotspots will be selling countless shirts and Twi Gear. The Midnight DVD release parties will take place in these really hot spots. For the first 100 in line for the release party, you will receive New Moon stickers, temporary tattoos, and trading cards. To some of you, this may not sound all that great. But if you're an obsessed twelve year old girl, this is
hot shit. Personally, I would get there early just so I could get free temporary tattoos of The Puppy to tattoo on my ass.
Fuck Team Jacob. (Sorry, Edward haters.)
Now all of this brings me to Topic Number Six : The Eclipse Trailer. OH MY GAWD. It is fantastic. I was trying to refrain from watching it, so I could share the viewing experience with my friends before Remember Me comes out tomorrow, but I couldn't do it. The sets look good, the busted Bella wig looks decent (not nearly as bad as the pics), the color looks good (not really the blue tones or the golden hues of Twilight and New Moon.. More of just a normal movie), and if I was looking forward to seeing it, I am
really anxious now. The dialogue is a little corny, but hey, its Twilight we're talking about here. Personally, I think "I will fight for you until your heart stops beating." is way better than "So the lion fell in love with the lamb." Props to Melissa Rosenberg.
Basically, after commenting on this post, you need to
1. Watch the entire Jay Leno show.
2. Play Hanky Panky with a friend, and send me the video.
3. Plan on attending the Walmart DVD release party.
4. Watch the Eclipse trailer more times than necessary.
